- 2002: Mariah’s ninth studio album, Charmbracelet, is released in the USA. This is the first album under her new deal with Island/Def-Jam and her own imprint, MonarC.
- 2021: Apple TV premieres Mariah’s Christmas: The Magic Continues. A sequel to the previous year’s wildly successful Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special, this show delights fans worldwide with a special performance of “Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)” and the newly released “Fall In Love at Christmas” with Khalid and Kirk Franklin. To round out the special, Mariah gives a special interview to Apple TV’s Zane Lowe, and is joined by her then 10-year old twins Moroccan and Monroe to share their favorite holiday moments.

- 2001: Sony releases the two-disc Greatest Hits. The collection includes Mariah’s most successful songs under the Columbia imprint, with the special bonus track “All I Want For Christmas Is You (So So Def Remix),” featuring Jermaine Dupri and Lil Bow Wow.
- 2020: Apple TV premieres Mariah Carey’s Magical Christmas Special. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Mariah was unable to perform her annual “All I Want For Christmas Is You” concert, so instead she brought the Christmas magic to TV screens worldwide. Opening with a special rendition of “Sleigh Ride,” the show also feature a new version of “Here Comes Santa Claus/Housetop Celebration” with Snoop Dogg and an iconic collaboration with Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson on “Oh, Santa!” The nearly hour long special also boasts appearances from Billy Eichner, Tiffany Haddish, and the Peanuts gang. An audio album was released exclusively to iTunes and Apple Music on the same day, and to other platforms a week later.

- 1994: Mariah performs a special benefit concert for the Fresh Air Fund at the Cathedral of St. John The Divine in New York City. Her set consists of six songs from Merry Christmas (including a special rendition of “Jesus Born On This Day” with kids from Camp Mariah) and an encore of “Hero.” The live performance of “Joy To The World” premiered on MTV days later and served as a stand-alone music video for the song. After 25 years, Mariah released the full audio of the show in 2019, along with video footage on YouTube.
- 2015: Mariah kicks off her second annual All I Want For Christmas Is You concert series with an eight-night residency at the Beacon Theatre in New York City.

- 2015: All I Want For Christmas Is You at Beacon Theatre in New York City.
- 2022: In her return to the stage post-COVID pandemic, Mariah performs the first of four shows of her Merry Christmas To All! at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.
- 2023: Merry Christmas One and All! Tour at Madison Square Garden in New York City. As a special surprise during the show, Mariah Carey reunites with Ariana Grande and Jennifer Hudson to perform their single, 'Oh Santa.'
- 2024: Mariah Carey's Christmastime Tour at PNC Arena in Raleigh, NC. During the show, Daniel Moore surprises Mariah on stage by announcing "All I Want For Christmas Is You" has officially hit #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 for the first time that Christmas season. Moroccan and Monroe present Mariah with a bouquet of flowers on stage.
- 2025: Mariah Carey's Christmastime in Las Vegas at Dolby Live in Las Vegas, NV.

- 1993: Mariah wraps up her first ever tour, the Music Box Tour, at Madison Square Garden before the largest crowd to date in New York City. She performs a special rendition of "Santa Claus Is Comin' To Town". During the show, Mariah dedicates "Hero" to the victims of the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) tragic which occurred a few days earlier. Mariah announced that the profits from her "Hero" would be donated to a fund for the victims.

- 2001: Mariah releases a special CD single of the newly recorded “Never Too Far/Hero” medley. The two-track package features the b-side “There For Me,” written with Diane Warren during the Rainbow sessions. Proceeds from the single benefited the Heroes Fund, which went toward the victims of the 9/11 attacks, their families, police officers, and first responders.
- 2002: As part of the promotion for the Charmbracelet album, Mariah performs a special set for the Today Show at the Mall of America. Her set consists of “Through the Rain,” “Boy (I Need You),” “Bringin’ on the Heartbreak,” and the classic “Make It Happen.”
- 2015: All I Want For Christmas Is You at Beacon Theatre in New York City.
- 2022: Merry Christmas To All! at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto, Canada.
- 2022: Mariah makes her Broadway debut as one of the producers of the stage adaption of Some Like It Hot. Based on the 1959 film written and directed by Billy Wilder, the musical opens at Broadway's Sam S. Shubert Theatre. The musical ran through December 30, 2023, earning Mariah a Tony Award nomination.
- 2023: Merry Christmas To One and All! Tour at TD Garden in Boston, MA.
- 2024: Mariah Carey's Christmastime Tour at PPG Paints Aren in Pittsburgh, PA. The show was cancelled due to unforseen circumstances. Later that the day, Mariah confirms via her Twitter/X, "I've come down with the flu. It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight's show. I love you all so much."

- 2002: Island Def Jam hosts a release party for Charmbracelet at Capitale in New York City.
- 2003: Charmbracelet Tour at HP Pavilion in San Jose, CA.
- 2010: Mariah performs in front of President and Mrs. Obama at the National Building Museum in Washington, DC, for the annual Christmas In Washington concert. She opened the show with her original song “One Child,” and returned for the closing medley with a solo version of “O Come All Ye Faithful.” Other performers included Annie Lennox and Miranda Cosgrove. The show was aired internationally on pay-per-view channels, as well as the USA cable network TNT.

Mariah announces via her Twitter/X account that both Newark and Belmont shows will be cancelled stating, "I wish I had better news but unfortunately I'm still sick and have to cancel the shows tonight and on Sunday. I'm really devastated about it and appreciate your support. Love, MC."
- 2025: Mariah Carey closed out her Mariah Carey’s Christmastime residency at Dolby Live in Las Vegas, NV, with a performance broadcast exclusively as a live stream on TikTok and Apple Music. The event, titled "Here for It All Holiday Special," drew massive attention, attracting 1.5 million concurrent viewers on TikTok alone.

- 2025: Mariah achieves a record-breaking milestone as “All I Want for Christmas Is You” earns its 20th week at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100, topping the chart dated December 20, 2025, and brings her total chart run at No. 1 to 99 weeks. On this historic day, the song also becomes the highest-certified single by a female artist, receiving an 18× Platinum RIAA certification. In addition, Mariah earned her third RIAA Diamond album certification for Merry Christmas, joining Music Box and Daydream. With this achievement, Mariah joins Whitney Houston and Shania Twain as the only female artists to have three Diamond-certified albums.

- 2000: All I Want For Christmas Is You 2000” is released exclusively in Japan. The single is released with two covers: one featuring an animated Mariah in a Santa suit (with a similar pose to the Merry Christmas album cover) and the other with animated Mariah trimming her Christmas tree.
